Concert Poster by Rafid Khan

Concert Poster by Rafid Khan  As you can see, this is my concert poster. I didn't really use any actual artist or bands to make this concert poster as I don't really have any favorite for it. So I have used some inspiration and reference in order to create my own band for this poster. So when I was coming up with a idea by sketching first, I came up with the idea of using the word "Symphony" from candy bar called "Hershey Symphony".  It just randomly clicked on me as I have heard of that candy bar name but never try it. So I sketched out the "Symphony" part on a paper and it turned to be very accurate not gonna lie. After I finished sketching out Symphony, I then opened Adobe InDesign to create a poster of my own. But I need a picture for my poster. So I chose a picture of the person playing orchestra in a planet on space. Later on I create textboxes. Such as "Symphony" as a title, I used a script font for that. I used the "Edwardi...

Hierarchy on Grid by Rafid Khan

Hierarchy on Grid                                                                          By Rafid Khan   This is Hierarchy on Grid #1 design, as you can see this design represents the letter C. I believe this C that I've created using grids and type boxes is rather a type of C that is used for the font for Minecraft. So I have created this letter by using grids and type box in which the process of making this is very basic. In the entire first column, I've put placeholder textbox. In the second column, I've put the place holder box in the first and the ...

Hierarchy Exercise by Rafid Khan

This type is bold type because of how I have bolded the word "What's the Matter with You?!" I bolded this sentence (I suppose) because I feel like this sentence stands out the most out of the entire sentence that is contained. With this bold type, I intended to further make this design kind of into a poster. I represented this design as a poster by putting the date in the top right corner. Since I bolded "What's the matter with you?!" I feel like it could fit and stood out as a title. Beneath that, I put the location. After a few space, I put the event and then the quote "for those in search of the perfect concept" but I put it as Italic in order to representation some sort of important message. This type is capital letters because of how I provided several capital letters among this type. For instance I put capital letters in "WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU!" in order to express emotions such as exaggerating this sentence like anger. I r...

Gestalt on Grid

Image
Gestalt on grid by Rafid Khan This type represents a similarity because the type in the two columns is being used and repeated in the 3rd and 4th column. However, although the column in the 3rd and 4th column is being repeated from 1st and 2nd column but the 3rd and the 4th column is being reflected horzontily. Some may argue that the type is a symmetry because of how both column 1/2 is same to column 3/4. I argue that this is similarity because of how there is only reflection going on. Like the 3rd and the 4th column is being reflected from the first and second column.  Cuz if there was "translation" then it would've been considered as a symmetry. In which the 1st column would've been repeated to the 3rd column and the second column would've been repeated to the fourth column without being reflected at all. This type represents closure because although it is representing as a checker however it representing a square/rectangle. You may see this closure in variou...
