Hierarchy Exercise by Rafid Khan
This type is bold type because of how I have bolded the word "What's the Matter with You?!" I bolded this sentence (I suppose) because I feel like this sentence stands out the most out of the entire sentence that is contained. With this bold type, I intended to further make this design kind of into a poster. I represented this design as a poster by putting the date in the top right corner. Since I bolded "What's the matter with you?!" I feel like it could fit and stood out as a title. Beneath that, I put the location. After a few space, I put the event and then the quote "for those in search of the perfect concept" but I put it as Italic in order to representation some sort of important message.
This type is capital letters because of how I provided several capital letters among this type. For instance I put capital letters in "WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU!" in order to express emotions such as exaggerating this sentence like anger. I rotated sentences and connected to it in order to create a pattern by having one letter capitalized and and making the next letter to be lowercase. As you can see, this is why I connected the sentences in order to further spread the patterns. However, I didn't connect the last sentence as I wanted this sentence to be seen differently instead of connecting it to the rest of the sentences. I used Italic and capitalized the last sentence in order to set a some form of reminder to show encouragements and motivation in my design towards the viewers.
This type is alignment because of how I'm forming the sentences into a whole. I created these sentences and form it into a rectangle. I'm forming all the sentences into a rectangle in order to form an alliance and an appropriate relative positions to define/represent the alignment. However, I decided to remain "what's the matter with you?" as bolded to create a visual of this type by attracting the observer that one small part of boldness going on in this design.
This type is scale type because I'm making these sentences into various sizes. I made "what's the matter with you?" the biggest and I made "for those in search of the perfect concept" the smallest. I made "what's the matter with the you" the biggest in order to attract the observer's attention and mostly have the first sentence to have it's attention on. I made other sentences to be more or less big/small in order to help the observer read this to some extent. I made the last sentence the smallest as a way to create a very minor challenge for the person to see it. However, although I made the last sentence small but at the same time I made it Italic to make it stylish and appealing.
This type is vertical space because of how I'm creating a huge space between the sentences. I could've just make the sentences literally straight from top to bottom but that would've make the design defined as boring, useless and lame. So I consistently rotated all the sentences to make eye-catching and attention seeking. I rotated it to have fun and play around with it while making the designs.
This type is gray colored element because of how I colored "What's the matter with you?!" gray because of how I considered this sentence as my favorite since this sentence seems to be very eye-catching to me honestly. I colored that sentence and made rest of the sentences to be italic/bolded/regular. In addition, I created a pattern by having one sentence placed all the way to the left, having another sentence placed all the way to the right and so on in order to make the pattern to continue.
