Concert Poster by Rafid Khan 

As you can see, this is my concert poster. I didn't really use any actual artist or bands to make this concert poster as I don't really have any favorite for it. So I have used some inspiration and reference in order to create my own band for this poster. So when I was coming up with a idea by sketching first, I came up with the idea of using the word "Symphony" from candy bar called "Hershey Symphony".  It just randomly clicked on me as I have heard of that candy bar name but never try it. So I sketched out the "Symphony" part on a paper and it turned to be very accurate not gonna lie. After I finished sketching out Symphony, I then opened Adobe InDesign to create a poster of my own. But I need a picture for my poster. So I chose a picture of the person playing orchestra in a planet on space. Later on I create textboxes. Such as "Symphony" as a title, I used a script font for that. I used the "Edwardian Script" font. Meanwhile for other half of the title, location, time, price and date I used Adobe Garamond Pro. For all of the textbox, I put the color white. One of the biggest challenge that I have faced while making the poster is the contrast. The reason why I had that issue is because of the picture that I've used for my poster. The picture makes it hard for the textbox to be read no matter what color I use for it. So I had to change the pictures for the poster two different times. Which also leads me into having to arrange my type boxes two different times as well. Finally in my third picture, the contrast wasn't much of an issue anymore on my textboxes and I was able to easily pull it off very well I guess. As you can see, this is my progress that lead to make this concert poster.

As you can see, it's very incomplete assignment as I'm unable to have time to finish it as the picture contain many details on Pop Smoke. However, the things I've put on my Pop Smoke with typography looks somewhat decent as I've completed most of his face. So let me tell you the process that I've went through in order to make this so called incomplete Pop Smoke type art. One of the biggest challenges I've faced while making this type art is that I couldn't determine what letters could fit on the features/areas of Pop Smoke. Since I have lack of knowledge to put variety of letters in the art, I mostly used the letter I to outline the picture of Pop Smoke. Self-Portrait by Rafid Khan As you can see, this is my gray-scale portrait-to-color portrait. Let me tell you the process that I went through while making these portraits in Adobe Illustrator. First of all, the biggest I faced while starting this assignment is trying to find a good picture of myself. Normally I don't really take pictures or selfies and when I do it's not really a good one. After so many attempts of trying to take a good picture of myself, I was like "forget it". So on my last selfies, I decided to use them in my assignment. So I cropped my picture so that it somewhat shows mostly my face and neck. I then opened my selfie to Adobe Photoshop and add the grayscale in my selfies by 8 levels. I then saved my selfie as grayscale and then opened it up on Adobe Illustrator. When I got into Adobe Illustrator, I locked up the original photo.
