As you can see, this is my Painted Self Portrait. I actually did this before but in Adobe Illustrator and with the pen tool. I decided to use my self-Illustrator to do this Self-Photoshop assignment because it would take a lot of time to do all from scratch. In order to do this Photoshop self portrait, I used the brush tool to just traced out the lines and colors. What I did with each layer is that I outline the lines with the brush tool and then I color the inside of the line that I've outline. I would say one of the challenges I've faced while outlining the line is trying to outline it correctly. For example, when I'm outlining the line with the brush tool, I accidentally end up outlining off the line which kind of creates a mess and having to undo the mistake. I did and labeled each layers based on their color. For example, if I'm doing a layer that is called "black", I would only paint/outline the parts that have black colors. Same thing goes towards all the other layers. I had layers which contain different shades of brown. So I would each create a layer for light brown, brown and then dark brown. The process was somewhat fun but also somewhat may have been stressful as I've spent a long period of time working on it. After I finished with brushing the outline with black and different shades of brown, I then worked on the terminator. I'm not gonna lie, I kinda don't like how my terminator turned out but I also like how I provided different shades of gray in it. Coloring/brushing the terminator part was hard because of how I had to color/brush it perfectly or at least tried to since I used gradient color for it in my Adobe Illustrator self portrait which seems that there is no gradient color in Adobe Photoshop. First I used a black color brush tool to outline the terminator part and I then I used different shades of gray to color inside the outline. And then I used the black color brush tool to outline the line again just to make it appealing. Once I finished with my portrait, I went on to the background and put different types of brush stuff into the background since I couldn't get to do it in my portrait as I was so distracted on getting it done. Overall, I would rate my self portrait in Photoshop a solid 7.5/10. I think my self portrait in Adobe Illustrator was much better since it is easier and accurate to use the pen tool than in Adobe Photoshop where I have to use the brush tool.
